What Door Style Will Look Best on My Kitchen Cabinets?

Flat Slab Cabinets
These types of cabinets are what you see on many ultra-modern designs in magazines and on TV.  The streamlined, minimalistic look combined with modern knobs and pulls results in a stunning contemporary clean look.
Recessed Panel Doors
Take that slab cabinet door and add a border around the outside edge.  The result is a recessed panel door.  It gives the doors some visual depth and interest, yet keeps the look very simple and classic.  These doors look nice in modern or traditional kitchens.
Raised Panel Doors
If you're looking for a more traditional look, and slightly more formal, a raised panel might be what you are looking for.  These cabinets have the border like the recessed panel, but the flat center of the door is raised as well, giving the door a little more visual detail.  Choose from a simple rectangular design, or choose doors that have an arch design across the top of the raised panel.
Shaker or Cape Cod Style Cabinets
If looking for something less common, a shaker style takes the recessed panel look and adds another strip of wood down the center of the cabinet,  Cape Cod cabinets have a beadboard look in the center of the cabinet, giving the kitchen the feel of a cottage.
